IKO Nippon Thompson and ITK strengthen their long-standing cooperation – Get your ticket now and be there for the premiere of all about automation in Wels.
Japanese mechatronics specialist IKO Nippon Thompson and German control systems expert ITK Precisioning GmbH are strengthening their long-standing cooperation through a strategic partnership in product development. The combination of IKO’s precision mechanics and ITK’s intelligent controls creates comprehensive solutions that combine micrometer-precise positioning with maximum system integration.
May 2026: Premiere of all automation in Austria
At the Austrian premiere of the successful trade fair all about automation on May 20 and 21, 2026, in Wels, the first results will be presented: precision positioning tables from IKO, controlled by the ITK series Pollux, Hydra, and Andromeda. This combination sets new standards in dynamics, precision, and reliability. The new developments are now available exclusively from Nippon Thompson. Support and project management can thus be handled directly, effectively, and from a single source by IKO’s experienced sales team.
The jointly developed solutions are specifically targeted at key industries with the highest precision requirements—from semiconductor manufacturing and medical technology to measurement, testing, and analysis technology, as well as demanding projects in research and development.
The ITK controllers use the in-house developed MotionManager 4 software to efficiently simulate and configure complex motion sequences. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, the learning curve for programming is reduced.
Key parameters such as current, power, voltage, and motion profiles are clearly visualized. A particular highlight when used in combination with the MotionManager is the Quicklog function: it enables highly precise real-time data acquisition. The direct comparison of target and actual values forms the essential basis for optimal tuning of the servo controllers and guarantees maximum process stability.
Experience hands-on technology at our live demo in Wels: Control an IKO SA…DE rotary table via the 3-axis Multiwheel and test the MotionManager, ITK’s proprietary control software, to efficiently configure complex motion sequences. For technical discussions and to answer your specific questions, our experts Oliver Watz, Product Manager at ITK, and DI Patrick Walder, Area Manager Austria at IKO, will be available directly at the booth.
