ITK stands for high-precision positioning systems and assemblies for one to three-dimensional movements. With over 40 years of experience, all mechatronic systems and their components are developed and manufactured in-house. We understand the interaction of mechanics, electronics and software to ensure sub-micron accuracy and nanometre resolution. This expertise helps our customers build chips more reliably, develop vaccines faster, make sensors more accurate and accelerate the energy transition.

With our PT15 positioning systems from the SensePrecisioners® product family, we became a finalist at the Hessen Champions 2024 in the ‘Innovation’ category.

In 2022 ITK will celebrate its 40th anniversary - 10 years of which I have already been with the company. As a graduate computer scientist, I not only deal with the development of user software and system solutions at ITK, but also look after the ERP system as well as procedures and processes for quality assurance.

The special thing about ITK: all products and their components are developed and manufactured in-house. Since it is always about individual systems "made to measure", there is no boredom and one is always challenged anew.

My personal professional development at ITK began seven years ago - at that time I was still a student, earning some extra money with a temporary job at ITK. Typical "Hiwi work" such as assembly and clean-up work, as well as auxiliary work on the production machines were part of the job. I got an insight into the company, the products and the company philosophy.

I liked all this so much that I joined ITK professionally after completing my mechanical engineering studies - as a design engineer. And today, a few years later, I am head of design and CAE and, together with my colleagues, ensure that we can offer our customers the ideal solutions for their demanding applications.

A a secondary school leaving certificate and some enthusiasm for maths and physics form a good basis for this job. In any case, you should be flexible and work carefully. The special thing about being a mechatronics engineer is that you combine different areas, i.e. electronics, metalworking, control technology, pneumatics and hydraulics. I'm currently working in electrical assembly. I decided in favour of ITK, because the company has been in existence for over 40 years and because of its proximity to my home. For the areas not covered by ITK, there is a co-operation with the Wetzlar-based private training provider „ProZukunft Aus- und Weiterbildung e.K.“ with well-equipped workshops and trainers from the industry. I think it's great that I can work on high-precision products for important sectors such as medical technology and the semiconductor industry. I also appreciate the commitment of my trainers and the good working atmosphere. If you are looking for a varied job, are interested in technology and enjoy working with your hands, you should apply.
